Processing/Handling

The quality of the surface greatly depends upon the care that went into carrying out and adhering to the manufacturing instructions. BASWAphon ceilings are not merely industrial creations, rather are handmade, quality objectes and therefore show perhaps small signs of irregularities, furnishing clear evidence of the fact that our products are the result of high-quality craftsmanship.
Should the ceiling be exposed to extreme side light, minimal signs of unevenness in the in the smooth white plaster surfacesmay become visible.

Manufacturing is only permitted by employees certified by the BASWAacoustic AG company.

Certification is an ongoing process, which begins with a 1-day hands-on training seminar at BASWAacoustic AG. Interested contractors must send a member from senior management, a supervisor and two plasterers for this initial training session. In general plasterers will not be qualified to install BASWAphon unless following this initial training session.

Renewal process
When confronted with badly soiled surfaces, the last layer is removed and redone. Steam is applied to the BASWA surface for approx. 3 minutes with a standard steam-cleaner used for household purposes. After a brief saturation period, the BASWA Top layer (approx. 0.5 - 1.0 mm) is scrached off with a simple tool, swept off with a clean broom and is newly applied. Thanks to this rapid renovation process, the BASWAphon acoustic system is predestinated for locations such as restaurants, hotels, conference rooms, etc.
